The Alberta Fire Training Officers Association (AFTOA) is a group of like-minded fire instructors, dedicated to gathering innovative and up-to-date information on training standards and providing this information to fire departments so they may effectively and safely train their members.

 
 


Live fire – Tricks of the Trade Webinar

We’ll be discussing the facts, fallacies, and fear mongering of live fire training. This will be a comprehensive discussion on live fire training based on the NFPA 1403 standard and how many times the standards are misinterpreted by the fire service.

Join us as we embark on what promises to be an eventful year for fire training officers throughout the province. We are now accepting membership renewals/registrations for 2024. AFTOA membership fees have been discounted this year: $75 for a regular membership, and $50 for associate membership.

The Alberta Fire Training Officers Association, more commonly referred to as the AFTOA, is dedicated to gathering information on training standards and providing this information to fire departments so they may effectively and safely train their members.

In a world of ever changing standards and regulations, this organization provides fire departments with the most current, up-to-date course information and training requirements.  The AFTOA will help develop, and support the work of those leaders and organizations in order that they may best provide training for members and affiliated Associations.
